What is the Mission?

The EFK Program will actively support interested individuals who are highly motivated to bring the plant-based message to their local communities via in-person gatherings. The focus of these small, intimate, localized events will be to:

  • Share key information and current research about the transformational power of WFPB nutrition.
  • Exchange healthy, plant-based foods and recipes.
  • Establish the foundation for the emergence of local plant-based communities.

One clear fact seems to be emerging from our work: the plant-based movement is a ground-up movement. That is, progress in the trenches of the movement is made possible by the tireless and committed efforts of lone champions in their local communities who are pushing against institutional, social, and community inertia. These are change agents who are doing their best to enlighten those around them about plant-based nutrition, whether it be in their families, churches, workplaces, hospitals, or schools.
